Blog suspended until….

I shall not be updating the blog until BT install Braodband and a phone line in our house later in the month and until we have opened sufficient boxes to be able to get into all the rooms. Life is rather chaotic.

Meanwhile I hope everyone will enjoy the rest of the summer.

Very best wishes to you both. As someone who moved and downsized two years ago I can say it does get better!

I needed to hear that. We are ok at the moment but have had to rent storage space here as well as storage space in Oxford which a kind farmer has let us use for the time being. Still much refining to be done.

Hope all your unpacking and settling in goes smoothly. X

Thank you Penny – it has all gone pretty well, although that does depend at what point in our settling in I chose to consider the matter. We have highs … and we have lesser highs – the lows (apart from BT) have by and large passed, thank goodness.

Although of course, Lydia, one can’t always see that when you can’t remember what clever little places one put the keys in, or that important letter, or useful passwords… I dribble off at this point unable to pull cogent thoughts together…

I hope the chaos becomes less chaotic soon!

Exhaustion high, but we’re hoping to relax over the next few weeks and work out our new life style. Thank you for standing by.

I admit, I am childishly enjoying the typo in this post, but I do hope that you will have access to bog facilities at every stage during your move.

I too miss your blog. I always looked forward to each new entry. Imagine my delight when finding it, not least because you may remember our meeting at Bridges in Monmouth. We were at many of David’s wonderful art talks and John’s history lectures. David may also remember our production of Voices .. poetry reading alongside art images. Happy days. Anyway I do hope that you’re beginning to settle and that the blog will soon return … what a red letter day that will be!

Gosh, how nice to hear from you, Max. Of course we remember you and the cultural life of Bridges. So kind of you to comment. Have you continued with Voices, it sounds such an excellent idea?
I hope to get back into regular blogging from now on, but life will still be hectic so I may be erratic. It’s quite breathtaking to hear you look forward to its return with such enthusiasm. Thank you. Do keep in touch.

Linda, life has been so full that I only realised how much I missed the blog when I actually got down to posting the Christmas card. Now I promise myself to carve out the time to make more regular posts. It has been so uplifting reading people’s comments. Thank you for nudging me in this direction.

Hello Mary…. I was thinking of you today. Have you settled into your new life a little? I hope that life is treating you and your husband well and that perhaps you are finding the space in your day to pursue your oh so wonderful interests. Sending the very best of wishes from Over Here. Lydia

Not really settled and I can’t expect to be as daughter No 2 is expecting a baby at the end of April, which of course will just about coincide with them moving back to their own house! If I want to continue with embroidery I’m going to have to be steely self disciplined.

Grazie tanto – or is it tante? So you see the answer is not much – although I could answer some University Challenge questions involving understanding Italian the other day!
Hope all well – will order some of those longer fingerless gloves soon.
